I think we can do major parts of CDR already. Problem is that we missed the chance to do an organised lift and shift to the cloud, now company use different SaaS solutions here and there and maybe have different cloud providers per team even.
The tools are part of almost any cloud provider I know of. I mean the right big query searches can mimik an CDR if the logs are in place. And we all know that cloud produces a ton of logs.
