NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) is the name of the operation in which NASA tested to deflect or change course of an asteroid by basically hitting the asteroid with a spacecraft.
DART was aimed at Dimorphos, a 160m in diameter object which orbits Didymos, a 780m asteroid.
I believe it is pretty impressive hitting an asteroid of that size, if the impact was enough to change the course of the asteroid will be seen in the weeks to come.
